Raymond Jerome “Lightskin Bo” Pullen was born on August 31, 1976 to Gwen and Luther Pullen in Baltimore, Maryland. That same year they moved back to their original roots in Cedartown, Georgia and where he was raised from the age of three by his mother Gwen. He was the only male in a family of five sisters. I guess it is safe to say that is where the “attitude” began. Around the age of twelve he was ridiculed by an older boy in school named Turk for being so dark skinned. Turk would “jones” on him by telling him that he “was so black he was light”. So instead of being a part of the “joke” he embraced it and therefore the name “Lightskin Bo” was born. Around that same age while living in Collard Valley he began listening to a rap song “Short Dogs n the House” by a rapper named “Too Short” as well as “NWA” and “Ice Cube“. Rapping off of “Too Shorts” and making beats at home he started writing. In 1990 he wrong his first song “BoBo Ski for a talent show at school. Unfortunately that never transpired because the words were too explicit to be performed. Once again, “attitude” prevailed. Therefore began a life of crime that lasted from 1992 to 2009 and a much needed lesson was learned. In 2009 he was introduced to Ron Mitchell “21 Shots” by a mutual friend. They recorded their first un-official production of “Lights Out Vol. 1” at A.T.M. Studio’s in Rome, Georgia.
