ON STAGE Steve is a fantastic all round guitarist, lead/backing vocalist and songwriter. With over 20 yrs of playing experience on the world wide stage, TV, Radio and in the Studio. Since 2007 he had been a full time band member for Darren Hayes - a world-class pop star since his days with the pop duo Savage Garden. As guitarist for Darren, Steve has performed in Australia, America, Canada, Russia, Europe and the UK. Both with the full band and also a handful of ‘Acoustic Specials’ as a duo with Darren playing on TV shows, News networks, Radio stations, Record & Book stores, charity events & theatres in New York & Philadelphia. Most recently Steve has accompanied Darren on his current campaign to promote his album ‘Secret Codes & Battleships’ released OCT 2011. So far they have performed in Australia and the UK where the tour concluded with a sold out show at London’s Wembley Arena supporting the Swedish band Roxette. The band have also performed on Jo Whiley’s Radio 2 show, ITV, The Blackpool ‘Switch On’ Concert and the Bournemouth International Centre. More dates are due to follow in 2012. SONGWRITING As a published songwriter most recent credits include: Taken By The Sea from Darren Hayes’s new album ‘Secret Codes & Battleships’ Almost Famous theme tune for the BBC2 production – ‘My Almost Famous Family’ X Rated the 3rd single from Australian pop singer Kate Alexa For more original material and co-writes – CLICK HERE MUSICAL DIRECTOR It is his work with many unsigned & newly signed artists from all over the world that has given Steve the insight into the world of the session musician. Every song is different, every singer has an idea of how things need to be done and most importantly every artist needs a strong, dedicated musician to share the stage and deliver the goods. Using this experience Steve is often hired as MD (Musical Director) to put together bands for brand new artists so they can get started on the road to success. Many of these new artists need to perform tiny showcases in and around London. These are a far cry from the huge stage of Wembley but equally as important. MORE ARTISTS Steve has also performed with other established artists such as Lizzy Pattinson (IOW Festival 2010, O2 Wireless 2010, Ronnie Scotts), Lionel Richie, Peter Andre, Delta Goodrem, Gareth Gates, James Walsh, Adam Ant and Danielle Spencer to name a few. TV/FILM In addition to ‘live’ touring Steve has been hired many times by record companies and agencies to perform on TV shows such as Top Of The Pops, CD:UK, MTV, TRL, ITV, Disney, C4 & GMTV. He has also spent many hours on Movie sets as a background artist. These include Charlie & The Chocolate Factory, The Divinci Code, De-Railed, Kinky Boots and other productions.
