Juliette Sewell is a twenty-four year old songwriter from the UK, Solihull. She decided at the age twelve to become a songwriter like her influence Geoff Sewell, her Father. Geoff Sewell is formally known as the lead singer of his band Ricochet. A songwriter of instinct, Juliette has a flair for writing catchy songs that leave the listener moved by the raw emotion in them. Although her roots are firmly placed in mainstream rock and RnB, she draws inspiration from many different lyrical and musical influences. "My style is eclectic..I can write a ballad today, and the next a rentro country melody will come out of me, and I'll be wondering..where did that come from?". It is that versality that caught the attention of Roy Carter former member of the band "Heatwave". Along with twelve other very talented unsigned acts from Birmingham and with the help of her father Geoff Sewell, they came together to make their own production company called "Know Boundryz". Music is not a new passion for Juliette however: Growing up listening to her Father play guitar Juliette started writing songs at the tender age of 12: "I used dads melodies and everything that made a sound around the house to write on before I even picked up the guitar, but I was never any good at it!", she says jokingly. But it wasn't until joining a college band at 16? as front singer, that she decided to make music her life dream. For the next several years however, life took her through many travels to different parts the world, from the U.K., to Turkey, Spain, Canada and France, places where she held different jobs singing. Music, truth be told, was never far from her mind. In 2009 Juliette put her dream on hold and became a mother to her three year old son. "I always knew it was a matter of time until I started to write songs again, cause in every country I went, my first stop was always the music store/local pubs, where I discovered new types of music. All those different genres have influenced the songwriter I am today." Now back to her birthplace Solihull, Juliette is sharing her time between enjoying parenthood and spending any spare time she has in the company of her father with whom she writes material. She hopes to pitch to publishing companies in the near future. Based on the reception of her latest compositions, the future looks promising!
