Burning Red Sun is a Hard/Alt/Rock band from Central New Jersey. It features founding members Ken Lazorchak, Mike Gomez, Jim Russo and Mike Hanrahan. They now have a "Distro Deal" on JMD / Universal Music Group Ken Lazorchak - Ken is no stranger to the NJ rock scene. He previously played in renowned bands such as Laughen Bones and The Lost Highway Ramblers. Ken was mentored by the great blues legend Roy Buchanan. His love of rock is eclectic and his music shows it. Influences of The Kinks, Jimi Hendrix, and Queens of the Stone Age, as well as many other greats can be heard in many of his songs. Mike Gomez – Hailing from Detroit, Mike is a newcomer to NJ, but not to the music scene. He is best known as the former bass player for Concrete Pillow, a well known Detroit blues band. Influences of Led Zeppelin, Rush, the Beatles, and Kiss can be heard in his music. Jim Russo – Jim has been involved with the NY/NJ club circuit for close to 15 years, working with at least 10 different bands. Jim’s main influence on the drums is John Bonham but bit of everything from alternative, to folk, to classic rock can be heard in his drumming style. Mike Hanrahan: The newest member of the band adding his unique Lead/ Rhythm/ guitar styles plus strong backing vocals. Mike is a veteran to the music scene playing in many successful bands and is also successful as a song writer. It's great to have him on board. Burning Red Sun’s debut album Living on the Edge of Time has received critical acclaim.
