As a young musician, he listens to a lot of music and has music influences such as Steve Morse , Joe Satriani, Van Halen, Taksim Trio, Simon Shaheen, U2 and all other kinds of Ambience music. During his journey to being a professional musician, he stumbled upon Jamal Nasser . It was Jamal who first introduced him to the World Music genre, which eventually led to him writing his own music . Being exposed to the rock culture, moving on seems really hard, since World music is considered taboo to locals in Singapore . It took a while for him to come up with the materials and to get use to the concept of world music . He even travelled to Sarawak just to get a glimpse of how the tribes ethic group could offer with their raw & organic culture. From then on he finally had a place to start, that's when he composed his very first composition titled, " Journey To Tibet" , which was influenced by his Journey to Sarawak and also his interest in the history of Tibet, during that time. At the age of 32, Rosli together with Jamal formed their very first band , Earth Modes & Sanskrit. They performed at venues such as The Art-House, Tertiary institutions & Corporate Events. However, Rosli decided to quit the band a few years later to pursue his other ambition , then followed by Jamal Nasser who too had decided to leave the band. During his time away from music, Rosli continued to play football and get back in shape. A few years later, while having lunch at a local restaurant, Rosli and Jamal coincidently met and decided to continue where they had previously left off. And with that, Jamal decided to name their new band as DreamCatcher. Rosli composed new ideas such as " Dawn Of Hope " , " If Tomorrow Ever Comes " , " Ray Of Light " , " DreamTime " , " Geisha " , " Hurts ", " Reflection " and a lot more . Recently, as a tribute to Gaza, he composed a song titled " Forbidden Land " with his own made Oud Guitar. Now, with experience, his wide exposure to World Music and equipped with new equipment, he is able to put in more vibe to his songs which makes it a must hear to local and also overseas artist .
