Martha began writing songs when she was fifteen, innocently writing of love, loss and heartache. At seventeen she began playing in venues around the North East, mainly in her hometown of Hartlepool, and built up a loyal fan base. Martha then moved to newcastle to study Advanced Music at Newcastle College, where she began to develop her own style and work with other musicians and songwriters.
