Trey Ewald is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Long Island, NY who has been playing and writing music for the better part of his short 20 years. After a few stints with different bands, he is now a solo artist eager to share his debut EP, "3" with the world. In his early years, Trey spent most of his time at his uncleâs recording studio or joining him to see such influential acts as Van Halen, Peter Frampton, and Alanis Morissette. As a young man, Trey continues to expand his musical interests and cites his main influences as âanything from the Jonas Brothers to John Mayer to Eminem to All Time Low to Taylor Swift. Since recently making the transition back to a solo artist, Trey has been using his vast array of influences to experiment with different musical styles. He relentlessly demoed new material for much of 2011, working with anyone he could, including Pierre de Beauport, who has also worked with the Rolling Stones, Jack White, and John Mayer. He also traveled to various parts of the country to write with many different artists that he thought could help bring new life and emotion to his music. Over the course of the year, he made many new connections and wrote with talented artists such as the Ross sisters of the band Everlife and platinum-selling Metro Station frontman Mason Musso. By the end of the year, Trey had chosen five of his strongest songs to record as an EP, which was recorded in January of 2012 with Berklee music production graduate Christian Medice at his studio in Brookyln, NY. "When it comes down to it," Trey smiles, "I do all of this because I love it."Trey Ewald is a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter from Long Island, NY who has been playing and writing music for the better part of his short 20 years.
