BEAT100 is a social network that has been created for users to expose their strengths, socialise with friends and make new connections all in one place. BEAT100 allows hardworking, talented musicians to reach a global audience and gain some much deserved publicity that other social networks don't offer.

WIN WITH THE BEAT100 MUSIC VIDEO CHART

Every 14 days we give away thousands of dollars to the hardworking artists who top the BEAT100 Music Video Chart. The Top 3 winners are also included in a worldwide press release for some additional publicity. The BEAT100 Music Video Chart is free to enter and the winners are chosen by our users. Your fans can vote for your entry once every 24 hours to help you get to the top spot and take home the top prize! To submit a chart entry, just click the "Upload" button in the main navigation bar.

Videos remain in the chart for a minimum of two 14 day chart periods, although videos with less than 20 votes (not including BEAT100 bonus votes) after 20 days will be automatically removed.

CONNECT WITH OTHERS USING THE BEAT100 SOCIAL NETWORK

Our social network (accessed via "Social" in the main navigation bar) contains everything you need to make connections, share your thoughts and keep users updated. You can use the "Find People" link under your profile picture to search for others with similar tastes or to find other friends on BEAT100.

TALK TO FRIENDS USING LIVE CHAT

Our instant messaging system allows you to chat with your friends in real time. You can use multiple conversation windows to keep up with several contacts at once and other features such as the chat log, message sounds and resizable text help to keep the chat flowing. The chat bar is always available at the bottom of the screen, just click "My Chat" to open it. All your contacts will be listed and you can just click the name to start chatting. You can change your availability by clicking in the top right, and type in the search box to find a particular contact.

KEEP UP TO DATE WITH SOCIAL STATUS UPDATES

Social networking seems to get more and more complicated each day - but not with BEAT100.We don't group status updates together because of accidental keywords, or change the order a status appears based on users opinions. On BEAT100, you have the option to post an update for your friends ONLY to see, or you can post on the public wall depending on which audience you want to reach! We like to keep our social wall basic and easy to use so that users are no longer frustrated by trying to post a status or let their friends know what they're up to!

CREATE EVENTS AND FIND LOCAL GIGS

The BEAT100 "events?" page is a great place to find local gigs in your area and let people know when you?re next performing! You can find the gig guide by clicking "Events" in the navigation bar. You can add your own events by clicking "Create Event", just supply the details and an image and your event will soon be listed. Once your event is listed, others will be able to see the details, post comments and mark if they are attending! You can also create private events that are hidden from public view for your personal friends and fans only! Once the private event is created you will be able to send invites to your chosen contacts.

The news desk includes the latest updates from the BEAT100 Network, including the BEAT100 Music Video Chart results, featured musicians that stand out and articles that include recent updates and new features on the site! These articles are then promoted by BEAT100 to other places, such as social networks, e.g. Facebook, blogging websites and search engines e.g. Google, Yahoo! And Bing!

SPOT TALENT ON THE BEAT100 VIDEO NETWORK

The BEAT100 Video Network contains more than just music. We've got plenty of other talented individuals such as BMX riders, street dancers, comedians and budding film makers. The BEAT100 Video Network is ordered by category so you can browse through particular categories that suit your personal taste. You can also use the ?search? function to locate specific videos. To upload your own videos to the network, just click "Upload" in the navigation bar to visit your video page and enter the details there. Once you've entered the details and chosen a category click "Upload to Network".

DISPLAY YOUR MUSIC WITH THE BEAT100 BAND PAGES

To have your band page set up, all you need to do is provide a cover photo and a bio and you're set. Click "Bands" in the navigation bar and then "Add Band" in the top right to get started, it only takes a couple of minutes. Once your page is created you can tag any of your existing photos, videos and events and they'll appear alongside everything else. You can manage your band via the edit page and use the controls to add MP3s to give fans something to listen to!

INVITE YOUR FRIENDS

Use our "Find People" page to introduce your friends to BEAT100 and share the network with them. Once they have joined BEAT100 you can connect to them via the social network plus they can vote on your videos, post on your social wall and like your pictures!
